Darklanlan is a Japanese Wikipedian. I met Wikipedia first time around 2002, and created my account in 2007. At that time, I didn't have many contributions because I was too shy to join this community. I had been a ROM user (stands for a lurker in Japanese slang) for a long time. In 2016, I couldn't overlook that there were many articles with stubs and insufficient sources, especially in Japanese Wikipedia, so I decided to join in. My name is not meaningful. It came from the mood when I created this account. (lanlan = ranran (らんらん), one of onomatopia, means feeling exhilarated. It makes ambivalence in this case.) As of 2024, I never active any other website with this name, except translatewiki.net. I've never had an alternative account.
